About the SP-1100 NPFL

The SP-1100 NPFL is the servo we fit under the heavy heads: the 441 class, the 204 and 243 class machines, the long arms. It gives 1100W of torque, a speed range from 100 to 2,500 RPM, needle positioning so the needle stops up or down on command, and a 24V output for the optional automatic foot lift from the pedal. The digital control sets the top speed and the stop position.

The needle positioner is the feature operators notice most: every stop leaves the needle in the material, so the piece can pivot on a corner without losing its place. We show the SP-800NP, the smaller needle positioning servo, on video.

What does NPFL stand for?

Needle positioning, foot lift. The positioner is standard; the foot lift solenoid is optional.

Can it drive a 441 without a reducer?

It has the torque, but a reducer is still the right way to get one stitch per second on heavy leather. We fit both.
