Double needle walking foot sewing machines
Two parallel rows in one pass, with a split bar for cornering.
A double needle machine sews two parallel lockstitch rows at once, at a fixed gauge from 1/8 to 1 inch or more. Automotive and furniture trim shops use it for French seams and decorative double topstitch; bag makers use it for handles and straps; canvas shops use it for flat felled seams on covers. The split needle bar lets you lift one needle at a corner so both rows turn cleanly.
Our 1560N and 1560N-7 are compound feed walking foot heads with two large hooks, so they take the same thick materials and heavy thread as our single needle flatbeds. The -7 adds automatic thread trimming and back-tack.
Choose this type when
- Decorative double topstitching on seats, door panels, headrests and furniture.
- Straps, handles and belt loops where two rows are specified.
- Flat felled or lapped seams on covers and tarps that have to be sewn twice anyway.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change the needle gauge?
Yes. The gauge is set by the needle bar, needle plate, feet and feed dog. We stock common gauge sets and will set the machine up for the gauge you use most before delivery.
