The customers who come back year after year all say the same thing: the machine was set up for exactly their application. That is the part of this business that a website cannot do and a big distributor will not. You send a sample of what you make, or describe it carefully, and we work out which head, which feed, which hook, which needle and thread, which feet or folder or clamp, and which motor speed will make that part come off the machine right, every time.
Then we build that setup and sew your part on it before you spend anything. If it does not sew the way it should, you have lost nothing. If it does, you buy a machine that goes to work the day it arrives.
What goes into a setup
Head class: flatbed, cylinder arm, post bed or long arm, and how heavy. Feed: compound walking foot for layered or slippery stacks, roller for footwear curves, top and bottom for stretch. Hook: standard, large or extra large, vertical or horizontal, sized to the thread. Needle system and point: round for fabric, leather point for leather, in the size range the thread needs. Thread: bonded nylon or polyester from 69 to 415, matched to the hook and the seam strength you need.
Then the attachments that turn a machine into a tool for your product: welt and piping feet, zipper feet, binders and folders, edge guides, swing-away guides for pattern work, pullers for long seams, clamps for pattern sewers, and tables or extensions sized to the part.
Who this is for
A shop starting out that needs one machine to do most of its work. A shop adding a new product and not sure the current machine will sew it. A manufacturer looking to take a repetitive operation off a skilled operator with a pattern sewer. Anyone who has bought the wrong machine once already and does not want to do it again.
What it costs
Nothing. Selection and a sewn sample are part of selling you the right machine. If we conclude that the machine you already own can be set up to do the job, we will tell you that and quote the setup instead.
