About the 2156
The 2156 is the wetsuit machine. The bed is a free arm 55mm in diameter that the operator feeds the work off the end of, so a sleeve, a leg or a boot slides over it and the seam runs out and away. Top and bottom feed move neoprene and rubber-coated cloth without stretching or slipping, the zig-zag goes to 9mm, the straight stitch to 5mm, and it runs at up to 2,500 stitches per minute with reverse.
Dive shops, surf shops and water sports gear makers use it for neoprene; sail lofts for luff tapes and stretch seams; shoe shops for elastic. We have two videos on it, including how to thread it.
Also available: SEWPRO 2522D feed-off-the-arm zig-zag and 2530-7C top and bottom feed heavy zig-zag; both on video.
