About the 1595-DL
The 1595-DL is the footwear and fine leather post bed. Instead of a walking foot it uses a driven roller presser on top and a feed wheel below, with needle feed between them, so the contact patch on the leather is tiny and the operator can pivot around the tightest curve of a shoe upper or a bag gusset without marking the surface. The post raises the needle plate so the rest of the shoe hangs below.
The direct drive servo gives needle positioning, automatic back-tack, a 10mm automatic foot lift and an under-bed thread trimmer, which is what a closing room expects. The hook is a large cap-style rotary with an M bobbin, the stitch goes to 7mm, and the thread range is 46 to 138 through the 135x8 needle that footwear machines use.
It is a light to medium machine by design. For heavy topstitch on automotive leather or boot shafts, look at the triple feed post beds.
