About the 205-420
The 205-420 follows the design that harness and saddle makers have used for decades. It is a cylinder arm lockstitch with a 794 needle system, a stitch length to 12mm, a 22mm foot lift and a thread range from 138 to 415. It runs at 800 RPM at most, and in a saddle shop it runs at a fraction of that, one visible stitch after another along a stirrup leather or a breast collar.
The cylinder arm lets a bridle, a halter or a harness tug slide over the bed, and the needle sits close enough to the end of the arm to stitch around hardware. The feed is heavy walking foot, so stacked layers of 12 oz leather do not shift.
For holsters, sheaths and tack it is a sister to the 441-PRO; the 205 has a longer stitch and a higher lift, the 441 has a larger working space.
