About the 1760L-18

The 1760L-18 is the 1760 for bigger work. The post sits 18 inches from the arm, so a full seat back, a large bag panel or a luggage shell passes under the needle without being rolled. The head is otherwise the same: two needles in 8, 10 or 12mm gauge, triple unison feed, center guide feet, two large vertical-axis rotary hooks with M bobbins, a 14mm pneumatic foot lift and a safety clutch.

The stitch goes to 9mm on this version, and the motor is the 220V 750W PowerMax servo with needle positioning. We recommend it for automotive and furniture shops that sew whole panels rather than small pieces.

Why would I need 18 inches on a post bed?

Seat backs and large panels. On a standard post bed the rest of the panel has to be rolled and held; on the long arm it lies to the right of the post.
