About the 243-25
The 243-25 is the long arm version of the 243 heavy flatbed. It keeps the large shuttle hook, the 794 needle, the thread range from 138 to 415 and the 20mm foot lift, and adds 25 inches under the arm and a 14mm maximum stitch, the longest in our range. The alternating foot stroke of 4 to 8mm lets the feet step over thick webbing and seam crossings.
At 800 RPM it has the torque for seat belts, tents, saddle pads, harness and heavy canvas, and the arm length for the panels those products come in. It is a compound needle feed walking foot, so layers do not creep over a long seam.
